My Remington Hair Clipper Is Dull

In the secret heart of man

Saint Aelred of Rievaulx was a Cistercian monk who lived in these terrible years from 1000. What remains wonderfully written today. His prose is beautiful, clear and thought so pure that it interferes with those who read it like a sweet melody. Nothing in light of this holy man, nothing tragic either. Much peace and certainty that happiness comes from God. This text is extracted from the Mirror of Charity, reprinted in 1992 in Bellefontaine.
"When a man has withdrawn from the tumult outside to get into the secret of his heart, he closed the door to the noisy crowd of vanities and toured its treasures inside when he does nothing more met in him agitated or disorganized, nothing that could annoy or torment him but while he is full of joy, harmony, peace, tranquility, when all the little world of his thoughts, words and actions smiled as would the household of a father in a home where there is peace and order, so suddenly rises a wonderful assurance. And this assurance is an extraordinary joy and happiness that springs a song of joy that broke out in praise of God. Such praise is even more fervent as we see more clearly how all that is good in itself is a gift from God. is the joyous celebration of Sabbath to be preceded by six days, that is to say, the final completion of works. First we sweat in doing good works, then to rest in peace to our conscience from good works born of purity of consciousness that leads to the just love of self, enabling us to love our neighbor as ourselves " " One Sabbath, Jesus was walking through the cornfields, and his followers the way, began to pluck the ears. The Pharisees said to him: "Look what they do on the Sabbath! That is not allowed. "Jesus answered:" Have you ever read what David did when he was in need and he was hungry, he and his companions? At the time of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the bread of offering that only priests can eat, and he also gave to his companions. He also told them: "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. That is why the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. "(Gospel according to St. Mark Ch. 2, verses 23-28).
