"Beauty will save the world" (Dostoyevsky)
Olivier Clement died in Paris at the age of 87 after a long illness. This great theologian of beauty, spokesman for the Orthodox Church of France has spread throughout his life a wonderfully deep thought and was able to transcribe its books in an extremely high view of faith and the Orthodox religious tradition. The world today has lost a great witness of faith. He now sings in the choir of angels at the foot of Our Lord in the absolute beauty of God.
This film, released last November, is the last interview of Olivier Clement during the day devoted to 40th anniversary of the founding of the Inter-Orthodox Bishops in France. The play is a treat. Can get up tomorrow other Olivier Clement in the service of faith and to each of our church have its Olivier Clement!
